melissa reavis
Melissa leads the Residential Studio. of Hollander Design, directing design and coordination of built landscapes from initial concept through final construction. She oversees a varied portfolio of projects, ranging from large country estates to intimate courtyard gardens. Since joining the firm in 2007, Melissa has created numerous award-winning single-family residences, many of which have been featured in Architectural Digest, Veranda, LUXE and other publications. Recent works of note include a family retreat designed for the health of pollinators and people in the Hamptons that was featured in Architectural Digest.
Prior to joining Hollander Design, Melissa developed a passion for residential design through work on both contemporary and traditional landscapes throughout New England. Melissa is a registered Landscape Architect in New York and New Jersey.
A dedicated advocate of the importance of pollinators for gardens and eco- logical health, Melissa serves on the boards of the Pollinators Pathways of Westchester and the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill. She has lectured in partnership with the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art, Greater Irving- ton Land Trust, Homegrown National Park, The Best Bees Company, and other design and environment-focused institutions.
